Evolve's Arts for Autism Program coordinates and manages Pittsburgh’s Joey Travolta Film Camp—the only film workshop for children and adults with disabilities in Allegheny County.

For two straight weeks, Joey Travolta Film Camp students actively engage in teamwork with the objective of producing a short film. Concept development, storyboarding, acting, costume design, set design, production, and editing are just a few aspects of the real work experience gained through participation in the Joey Travolta Film Camp. The camp also offers an "alumni classroom” for transition-aged young adults that focuses on career readiness and exploration.

Since 2011, Pittsburgh’s Joey Travolta Film Camp has provided an opportunity for more than 350 adolescents and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to create short films with mentorship and training from industry professionals. The Joey Travolta Film Camp is an inclusive film camp specifically designed to address the social, communication, executive function, transition and vocational goals as defined by each student’s IEP or OVR.
